Robert M. "Buck" Upthegrove

ROBERT M. "BUCK" UPTHEGROVE, age 63, of DeMotte, formerly of Hobart, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017.  He was born on March 8, 1954 to the late Raymond and Vivian Upthegrove.  Bob was a dedicated 35 year NIPSCO employee, where he loved his coworkers and they loved him.  He enjoyed watching drag racing, and was a fan of college football, the Pittsburgh Steelers and sometimes the Bears. Bob will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his 2 children, Heather Carroll, Hobart and Raymond Upthegrove, DeMotte; 3 grandchildren, Layla, Caden, and Remi; 5 siblings, Ed (Pam) Upthegrove, Pete Upthegrove, Karen (Jeff) Cooper, Susan (Larry) Young, and Connie (Scott) Pence; best friend, George Pero; nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Joanne and Walt Doege and brother, Phil Upthegrove.
