Aaron S. Highberger, age 49, of Portage, IN and formerly of Chesterton, IN passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023.

Aaron was born on January 6, 1974 in Valparaiso, IN to Stephen Highberger and the late Bonnie (nee Cutler) Rightsell.  He was a graduate of Chesterton High School, Class of 1992.  While in high school, Aaron was on the football and wrestling teams.  He began a career in residential concrete pouring and created his business, Ash Concrete.  He worked all over the NWI area and was a perfectionist about his craft.  Aaron was a very hard worker and provider for his family.  He also loved to watch sports and enjoyed wrestling the most.  Aaron was a devoted father, loving son, dear brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Aaron is survived by his daughter: Katlyne Highberger; siblings: Adam Highberger, Pastor Scott (Dannielle) Highberger, Tonya (Adam) Johnson, and Tara (Nate) Howe; father: Stephen Highberger; step-father: Bill Rightsell; several nieces and nephews; and best friend: Angie Wiseman.

Aaron is preceded in death by his mother: Bonnie; paternal grandmother: Juanita Highberger; paternal grandfather; and his maternal grandparents.
