Adele G. Ciesielski

Age 89, of Valparaiso, Indiana formerly of Portage, Indiana passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014. Adele was a graduate of St. Hedwig Elementary and Emerson High Schools in Gary, Indiana. Adele and her husband, Henry owned Albert's Tap in Gary, Indiana. During her 50 years in the Banking profession, Adele was Vice President and Cashier of Portage National Bank in Portage, Indiana and retired in 2000 from Bank One (Chase) in Merrillville, Indiana.
Adele was a member of the Polish National Alliance, Polish Women's Alliance of America, American Legion Aux. Post #207, Madame Curie, and Nativity Altar & Rosary Sodality. Along with being one of the founding families of Nativity Parish in Portage, Indiana, Adele served on many committees and also was a Lector at Nativity.
Adele was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Stella Sepiol; husband, Henry; son, Henry II; brother, Edward Sepiol and sister, Emily Stryczek.
Adele is survived by her sons; Paul (Carol) of Portage, and Tom of Valparasio; grandchildren, Heather, Danielle and Greg (Carolina); brother, Robert (Marilyn) Sepiol of Valparaiso; nieces, Carolyn Sepiol, Darlene (Joe) Schrack, and nephew, Robert Stryczek.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial gifts to celebrate her life may be given to Nativity of Our Savior Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am directly at Nativity of Our Savior Church, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage, Indiana 46368, on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, with additional visitation from 9-10am. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Portage, Indiana.
