ADOLPHE "BUTCH" SHULTZ, age 65, of Owensburg, and formerly of Portage and Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 29, 1950 in Bloomington, IN. Butch worked as a millwright for Bethlehem Steel and was a member of the Local #6787. He was a member of the NRA and loved to hunt and fish in his free time. Autumn Rue and his other fur babies held a special place in his heart.
Butch is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Linda (nee Saklaczynski); 6 children, Lindsay (Joshua) Fish, Nicholas Shultz, Michael Shultz, Cassandra (Olsen) Soberg, Stephen (fiancée, Samantha) Shultz and Melanie Shultz; 9 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Rita (Danny) Cranfill, Debbie (Bill) Free, Pamela (Dennis) Bottila; brother, Albert (Krystina) Scott; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, 2 aunts, and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Adolphe Shultz, Sr.; mother, Joan Blondell Scott; and sister Sherry Lee Shultz.
Funeral services for Adolphe "Butch" Shultz will be Friday, March 18, 2016 beginning with visitation at 11:00 until the time of service at 12 Noon at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage.
