ADRIEL LINCOLN PERRY, age 74, of Portage, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at VNA Hospice. He was born on June 1, 1940 in Scott County, VA to the late Worth and Edith Frances Perry. Adriel served in the US Army and was retired from the Inland Steel #4 Blast Furnace. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Adriel is survived by his two children, Scott Perry and Brenda Perry, both of Portage; 2 grandchildren, Kyle Clinton Perry and McKenzie Ranay Perry, both of Portage; 5 siblings, Buford "Duke" Carter, Sr, Doug (Linda) Perry, Jimmy Perry, Theresa (Wayne) Stallard, all of Scott County, VA; sister-in-law, Judy Perry of Griffith; brother-in-law, Larry Brickey of Scott, VA; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Virgie Delena, son, Michael Lincoln Perry; brothers, Gene and Donald Perry; sister, Dorothy Brickey.
Funeral services for Adriel will be Monday, October 27, 2014 at 12 Noon at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Larry Westmoreland officiating. Visitation will also be Monday from10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
