Shirley "Agnes" Grochowski, age 86, of Hobart, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Springmill Health Campus in Merrillville.  She was born in Gary, Indiana on February 21, 1932 to the late Charles "Harvey" and Kathryn (nee Daugherty) Muir.  Agnes loved country music and enjoyed word puzzles and crocheting.

Agnes is survived by her sons, Ronald Grochowski of Highland, Thomas (Celia) Grochowski of FL; grandchildren, Tyler, Alexa; step grandchildren, Michael and Caitlin Cano; sisters, Marie Westen of TX, Leona (Joel) Stark of Hobart, Linda (Dennis) Waite of VA; brother, Dan (Barb) Muir of Portage; brother in law, Jim Meister; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Alice (Andrew) Crouch, Joyce Meister; and brother in law, Elmer "Red" Westen.

A funeral service for Agnes will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Deacon Dennis Guernsey officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Old Ridge Rd.
