Albert Lee Janis

Albert "Lee" Janis, age 55, of Hobart passed away Wednesday October 5, 2016 at Rush Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Lee was born June 27, 1961 in Gary, Indiana to the late Leonard and Mary Jane (Shoue) Janis. Al was an operating engineer working out of Local #150. He enjoyed going to the races with his brothers.

Lee is survived by his loving wife Melisa Janis; three children LeAnn (fiancé Brad Easton) of Huntsville, AL, James (Jessica) Janis of Lake Station and Randi (James) Croy of Hobart; two stepsons Jason (Crystal) Bradburn of Hobart and Grant Molden of South Haven; nine grandchildren; two brothers Leonard (Toni) Janis of Burns Harbor and Russell (Sherry) Janis of Hobart. Many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter Hailey Bradburn; one sister Barb Dunn, and three brothers Ronald, John and Mike Janis.

Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Tuesday October 11, 2016 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 pm until the time of the service at 7:00 pm.
