Albert D. Lewis, age 90, of Hobart passed away Sunday March 29, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Albert was born December 3, 1924 in Czar, West Virginia to the late Allen and Bonnie (Been) Lewis. Albert was an active member of Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hobart and sang in the church choir for several years. He was an electrician who retired from Inland Steel/ Arcelor Mittal Steel in 1987. He was a WWII Naval Veteran and a member of the Hobart VFW Post #5365.

Albert is survived by his loving wife Norma; three children Cindy (Kent) Lewis of Highland, William (Shirley) Lewis of Omaha, NE and Daniel (Karen) Lewis of Bartlett, IL; nine grandchildren Ryan Lewis, Danielle Lewis, Justin Lewis, Austin Lewis, Farris Lewis, Nicholas Lewis, Nicole (Greg) Temple, Katelyn Lewis, and Samantha Lewis; several nieces and nephews.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents Allen and Bonnie; and eight brothers and sisters, Rex Lewis, Haze Lewis, Jess Lewis, Glenn Lewis, Bernice Potts, Mavis Runyan, Alice Robinson and James Lewis.

Memorial services will be conducted at Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church 207 Kelly Street Hobart, Indiana 46342 at 11:00 am on Wednesday April 1, 2015 with Rev Charles R. Strietelmeier officiating. Memorial visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church.

Memorial gifts are preferred to the Augustana Foundation in lieu of flowers.
