Albert L. Schneider,
age 58 of Portage passed away Thursday, March 31,2011. He was born on June 2, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois. He worked as an Electrical Technician Supervisor for Restoration Technologies. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Schneider (nee Harris) of Portage, IN; 6 sons, Ray (Kate) Horner of Hobart, IN; Ron Urban of Tuscola, IL; Christopher (Leomarys) Horner of DeMotte, IN; Russell Wilson of Portage, IN; Daniel (Sarah) Lyman of Hammond, IN; Corey (Nicole) Schneider of Hobart, IN; 2 daughters, Gidget (Terry) Thompson of Chesterton, IN; Stacy (Jeff) Riley of Hobart, IN; mother Jackie (nee Signs) Chase 2 brothers; Mike Schneider of Hammond, IN; Ron Schneider of Lynwood, IL; 1 sister, Laura Chase of Lynwood, IL; 23 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Corey Schneider, Jr., and father Raymond Chase.
Funeral service will be Thursday, April 7,2011 at 10:00 am with Willis Hayes officiating at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station, Indiana 46405. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation for Albert will be Wednesday April 6,2011 from 2:00-8:00pm also at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel. In lieu of flower memorial contributions to Albert's family would be appreciated.
