Alberta B. Frederick (nee Hardy), age 91, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 peacefully at home.  She was born in Hager City, Wisconsin on June 18, 1926 to the late Albert and Mamie (nee Spriggle) Hardy.As an adult, Alberta married and moved to Hobart, Indiana to raise her family. She was happy and independent. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting blanks and purses for anyone that wanted one. She was a member of the American War Mothers, Moose Lodge, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She touched many lives.

Alberta is survived by daughters, Kathleen (Leon) Lemley of Palestine, Ohio, Wanda Hatfield of South Haven; sister, Ilene (Rayford) Bankston; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends. Alberta was like a mother and grandmother to the Cawley family, whom we want to extend a special thank you to, for always sharing your family and coffee with Mama Cakes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Frederick; sons, Myron Jarosak, Merlin Jarosak; granddaughter, Theresa Jarosak; her parents; brothers, William Hardy, Merlin Hardy; and three sisters, Lois Hardy, Delores Bean, Elvira Auchampach .

A funeral service for Alberta will take place Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10 am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W.
