Aletria "Kay" Mardis-Storkman

Aletria "Kay" Mardis-Storkman, age 66, of Hobart passed away Wednesday December 13, 2023, at St Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Kay was born November 20, 1957, in Gary, Indiana to the late Richard and Martha (Alvey) Mardis. Kay was a Certified Nursing Assistant for over thirty years and worked for many local nursing centers ending at Addison Pointe Health and Rehab Center in Chesterton. She loved and cared for her kids and grandbabies.

Kay is survived by her two children, Gene Dukes of Hobart and Stephanie (Jake) Spears of Portage; eight grandchildren, Gene Dukes, Kaylee Sue Dukes, Jarret Spears, Sierra Spears, Hanna Olliver, Mackenzie Botteon, Michael Dukes, and Kelsey Dukes; three great grandchildren; four siblings, Richard (Ruth) Mardis of Valparaiso, David Mardis of Portage, Ronald (Jenn) Mardis of Michigan City, and Alice Valpatic of Whitestown; and many nieces and nephews.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Anna Booth and Susan George.

There will be a Memorial Visitation for Aletria "Kay" on Tuesday December 19, 2023, from 11 am to 12 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 12 pm at the Southlake Nazarene Church, 7355 E. 81st Avenue, Crown Point, Indiana 46307. A luncheon will follow the services at the church.
