Alexander James Michnik, age 51, of Hobart Passed away in his home on Wednesday July 9, 2014. Alex was born November 18, 1962 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Alexander Walter and Julie Marie (Visnyak) Michnik. Alex was a former employee of Teibel's Family Restaurant. Alex enjoyed good food, candies of all kinds, collecting coins and jewelry.

Alex is survived by his loving wife Kim of Hobart; one brother Joseph Michnik of Griffith; one sister Lisa Michnik of Hammond; his mother-in-law Sally Davis of Hobart; his sister-in-law Suzette (Randal) Young of Hobart; two nephews Nathan Benante and Joseph Michael Michnik; and two nieces Becky Oden and Gabrielle Potts.

Alex was preceded in death by his parents and three daughters, Raechel Lynn, Taren Angela and Amy Sue Michnik.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
