Alfred Creech

Age 68, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. He was born on June 14th, 1956, in Hazard KY, the son of Arvel and Beatrice (nee Combs) Creech. He was married to the love of his life, Shelia (nee Jones) Creech on March 27th, 1978. They spent 29 loving years together before her passing in 2007. Alfred retired from US Steel where he spent over 30 years as a Journeyman Millwright. After retiring from the mill, he owned and operated Fred's "Out on a limb for you" tree service for several years. Alfred was well known for his top-tier work ethic and his extremely competitive nature. Alfred loved playing pool, darts, golf, horseshoes, corn hole, and poker with friends and family. "House Rules" was a common threat during any game played with Alfred, and they were subject to change at any given moment.  Alfred was a vintage car and truck enthusiast. He collected many antique automobiles over the years, amongst other things. But most of all Alfred was an amazing individual and a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin, and friend. He will be sincerely missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Cassandra Creech, son, Anthony (Felicia) Creech; granddaughter, Lea Creech; grandson, Xander Creech; two brothers, Elmer (Sue) and Danny (Lori) Creech; two sisters, Lillie Ellis and Betty (Bryan) Gibson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelia Creech; son, Eric Creech; his mother, Beatrice Creech; father, Arvel Creech and sister, Paulene Creech.

A visitation for Alfred will be held from 2:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m.  on Friday, July 26,2024 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. The burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Hobart.
