ALICE J. SCHLOSSER (nee PIETRZAK), age 82, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015. She was born to Casey and Anna Pietrzak on February 28, 1933 in Gary, Indiana. Alice retired from the Hobart Township Assessor's Office after many years of service. She was a member of Assumption B.V.M. Church and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by 2 sons, Mark (Janet) Schlosser and Steven (Kathy) Schlosser both of Hobart; 2 daughters, Susan (Bill) Kennedy of Cincinnati, OH and Christina (William) Horton of Venice, FL; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Schlosser.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sisters of Mount Assisi Convent, 13900 Main St., Lemont, IL 60439.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Alice will be Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 12 Noon at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 3530 Illinois St. with Father Lourdu Pasala officiating. Visitation will also be Wednesday at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. with Deacon Dale Webdell offering prayers at 11:30 a.m. and then going in procession to church for Mass.
