Allan W. Soderstrom, age 96, of Portage, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015. He was born on January 25, 1919 in Gary, Indiana to the late Fred and Anna Soderstrom. For 22 years, he volunteered his time working with Meals on Wheels. Allan told great jokes. He liked music, traveling and yardwork, but above all he cherished the time he spent with his church family.
Allan is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Soderstrom and his church family at Evangelical Covenant Church.

A funeral service for Allan will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at Evangelical Covenant Church, 5051 Central Avenue, Portage with Pastor Michaile Broadnax officiating. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
