Allison Pitman

Allison "Alli-O" Pitman, age 33, of Lake Station, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at University of Chicago. She was born in Merrillville, Indiana on June 12, 1984 to Matt Pitman and Pamela (nee York) Hutchinson. She was a member of Real Life Community Church in Portage. Allison participated in the relay for life for many years and sponsored a child in Bangladesh. Allison touched many lives and will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. She will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend.

Allison is survived by three daughters, Kaylee Peterson, Emily Camarena and Jade Elizabeth Shannon; father Matt Pitman; mother, Pamela Hutchinson; brother, Matthew Pitman; two sisters, Cynthia (Ricky) Pitman and twin sister, Amanda (Patrick) Taylor; paternal grandmother, Blanche Pitman; maternal grandmother, Edith Campbell; special friend, Barbara Caine; numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, James E. Pitman and maternal grandfather, Paul York.
A Funeral service will take place Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Real Life Community Church, 3134 Swanson Road, Portage, Indiana 46368. Allison will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 10:00 am until time of service also at Real Life Community Church, Portage.
