Ana Delia Arocho

Ana Delia (Adames) Arocho, age 68, of Lake Station, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016. She was born on February 19, 1947 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to the late Julian and Francisca Adames. Ana was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and sang in the choir there in the past. She was active in politics and ran for local office. Ana enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

Ana is survived by her sons: Juan Edilberto Arocho Jr., Rich (Rose) Knight; daughter, Millie Arocho; grandchildren, Tiffany and Andy Arocho; great grandchildren, Natalie, Braydon and Connor; brother, Julian (Rose) Adames; sister, Carmen Adames; numerous loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Francisca Adames; husband, Juan "Eddie" Arocho Sr.; brother in law, Hector Gonzalez.

Visitation for Ana will be held Friday, January 22, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2447 Putnam Street, Lake Station. There will be additional visitation at church from 9:30 am until 10:30 am on Saturday morning. Rev. David Kime is officiating. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
