Angela Meza Rosales, age 84, a resident of Portage, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012. She was born on May 2, 1927 in Merced, California, the daughter of Meleseo and Inez Meza. Angela was married to Cruz Rosales, Sr. on December 17, 1944 in Laredo, Texas. She was a member of the Evangelical Church of Christ in Lake Station. Angela was a wonderful homemaker, who loved to cook and take care of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to all.

Angela is survived by her loving family; sons Manuel (Yolanda) Rosales, Holt, Michigan, and Cruz (Patricia) Rosales, Jr., Portage, Indiana, daughters Janie (Jewell) Harris, Gary, Indiana, and Mary Lou (Jeff) Bool, Williston, Florida, grandchildren; Manuel (Chris) Rosales, Jr., Jorita (Aaron) Bruininks, Michelle (Matt) Woods, Esther Rosales, Robert (Marcelina) Rosales, Cruz (Angela) Rosales, III, Mary Angela Vargas, Jewell (Julia) Harris, Jr., Angela Bool, Sarah Bool,Elisha Bool, and Christina Watkins, 20 great-grandchildren, sister Julia (Patriciao) Gonzales, Texas, and other loving family and dear friends. Angela was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cruz Rosales, Sr., and her son Humberto Rosales.

A visitation for Angela Rosales will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Rees Funeral Home – Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. A funeral service for Angela Rosales will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Burial will be at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary.
