Angelina T. Ihnat

Angelina T. Ihnat, age 78, of Lake Station passed away Thursday February 9, 2017 at Methodist Hospital, Southlake Campus. She was born September 10, 1938 in Gary to the late Joaquin and Mary (Mendez) Soria. Angelina was a hard working mother and wife. She retired from US Steel as a Group Leader with 31 years of service.

She is survived by her loving husband, William Ihnat; Six children, Susan (Jeff) Stover-Westerhout of O'Fallon, MO, Angelina (Steve) Stover-Dyniewski of Valparaiso, Mary (Don) Stover-Burge of Hobart, Richard (Teresa Smith) Stover of Portage Cecilia A. (Dennis Parker)Stover-Stewart of St. Louis, MO, and Cheryl (Lou) Ihnat-Samaniego of Portage; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren;five brothers, Manuel (JoNell) Soria, Joaquin (Marija) Soria, Danny (Ruth Langfield) Soria, David (Concha) Soria and Richard Soria; and many nieces and nephews.

Angelina was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Linda Stover-Bono; two sisters, Judy Rivera and Frances Soria; and three brothers, Paul Soria, Albert Soria and Peter Soria.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Monday February 13, 2017 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, IN 46368, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Sunday at the Funeral Home.
