ANITA M. BURKAT (nee DELGADO), age 69, of Lake Station, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 at home. Anita had been a Lake Station resident for 30 years and was employed at Performance Plus. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Anita is survived by 4 children: Laura (Jack) Chatt of Portage, Mickey (Mary) Altieri, Michelle Burkat and Caroline (Kevin) English, all of Lake Station, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister, Carmen Amado of Lake Station and brother, Ishmael Delgado of East Chicago, IN, and nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Basilio & Maria Delgado and 7 brothers & sisters.
Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart.
