Ann M. Maxwell died on September 2, 2013 at Brentwood in Hobart. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Earl E. Maxwell Jr., and her parents Isabel May Hogg and Ronald Duncan Hogg. She is survived by cousins Eleanor (Ray) Snemis, Elizabeth (Michael) Garritson, John "Jack" (Stephania) Hogg, Winifred Hogg and Ronald Scott Hogg all of Lake and Porter counties; John (Leila) Hogg of California and Jean Bivins, Joyce (James) Evans and Joan Roddam all of England.

Ann retired after 35 years of service with Gary-Hobart Water Corporation (Indiana American Water Company). She was a former member of Sigma Upsilon Alpha Pi and Beta Sigma Phi sororities, served as committee chairman and board member of Lake Area United Way, former member and president of Altrusa International, Inc of Indiana Dunes and former member and president of PEO Sisterhood, Chapter Y.

Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation service, Hobart Chapel.
At Ann's request, there will be no funeral. Memorial mass will be said at a later date. Memorial masses or donations to a charity of your choice may be made.

Friends and family are asked to meet on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart for a procession to Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville for a burial of cremains graveside service.
