Ann Murphy, age 88, was called home Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Brookdale Assisted living in Portage. Ann was born on April 12, 1926 in Knox, Indiana to the late Antrum and Bessie (nee Humes) Puckett. Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She filled the hearts of her family and everyone she came across. She was immensely loved and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, James E Murphy; two sons, Darrell (Sherry) Murphy of Valparaiso and Claude Murphy of Novi, Michigan; daughter Rosanne (James) Fox of Portage; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, many other loving family members and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters, twin sister, Mary Dubo, Alma Thompson, Josephine Watts, Ruth Heaton and Bertha Collins.
A funeral service for Ann will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Bob Burton officiating, at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave., Portage.
