ANN M. WIESEMANN, age 81, of Gary, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Ann was a lifelong area resident and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church until its closing. Ann worked as a clerk at the Butternut Bakery Store in Gary until her retirement. She was a diehard Colts and Cubs fan and enjoyed watching all their games. She was a loving mom and a wonderful woman who cared deeply for her family and others.
Ann is survived by her 2 sons, Randall (Ruth Ann) Wiesemann and Gregory (Debra) Wiesemann; 2 loving daughters, Terri (Kim) Barnard and Lisa Wiesemann; Grandson, Patrick and 8 other grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Forney; other loving family and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerome; son, Jerry, Jr.; and brother, John Sawa.
Memorial contributions to Ann's family are preferred.
A funeral mass for Ann will be Monday, January 17, 2011 with prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. at 9:30 a.m. and proceeding to St. Bridget Catholic Church, 568 E. 2nd St., Hobart, for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Dominic Bertino and Msgr. John Siekierski officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 2-8 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart, (219) 942-2109 or online at www.reesfuneralhomes.
