Ann "Penny" Wojtanek, age 98, of Hobart and formerly of Chesterton passed away Sunday April 19, 2020 at the Dyer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Penny was born January 24, 1922 in Beaverdale, Pennsylvania to the late John and Anna (Remak) Janosov. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and wife.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart and former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Chesterton. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends.

Penny is survived by two sons, David (Susan) Cooper of Hobart and Rev. Richard (Kathy) Schauer of Tinley Park, IL; six grandchildren, Donna (Bill) Hunter, Linda (Rado) Jukovich, Debra (Richard) Kulas, Michelle (Brad) Allen, Matthew Schauer and Michael Schauer; eight great grandchildren, Haleigh Hunter, Hannah Hunter, Brett Kulas, Ryan Kulas, Kristi (Fred) Beckman, Stephanie (Justin) Canfield, Aidan Allen and Alex Allen; one great-great grandchild, Flynn Canfield; one brother, Andrew Edward Janosov; and many nieces and nephews.

Penny was preceded in death by three husbands, Frank Cooper, Vincent Schauer and Frank Wojtanek; two sons, Larry Cooper and Robert Cooper; her parents, John and Anna Janosov; and her brother, John Johnson.

Monetary donations may be made in Penny's name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 900 Luther Dr. Hobart, IN 46342.

Private services will be conducted at Rees Funeral Homes 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. Funeral services will be live streamed on Rees Funeral Homes' Facebook Page at 11:00 am Thursday April 23, 2020.
