Annabelle Helton
(Nee Geheb)
Age 83, a longtime former resident of Gary, currently of Santa Monica, California "Went Home to be with the Lord" on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 15, 1928 in Silverton, Oregon, the daughter of Frank and Willie Geheb. She retired from Lakeside Labs where she worked as a Printing Operator. Annabelle was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, and former bowler for the Great Eagles Team at Rays Lanes, Lake Station. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to all. Her smile could melt the coldest heart.
Annabelle is survived by her loving 3 daughters, Linda (Victor) Johnson, Mount Pleasant, MI, Joan (Wallace) McIntosh, Santa Monica, Ca, and Mary (Dr. Rick Silverman) Helton, Valparaiso, IN, 2 brothers; Paul Geheb, Paris, IL, Larry (Pat) Geheb, IN, 3 sisters; Joy Sheehy, AK, Cecelia Mulhern, DeMotte, IN, and Betty (Earl) Ghrigsby, Al, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and other loving family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Helton, her sons James Delvin and Stephen "Skip", her daughter Katherine Marie, her sisters Ruth and Mary Geheb and her brothers James, Frank and Rholin Geheb.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station, Indiana. Visitation will be Monday, February 6, 2012 from noon until time of service. Burial at Graceland Cemetery.
