Hobart, Indiana

Anne Botsko, age 86, a longtime resident of Hobart passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011. She was born on April 25, 1925 in Glen Park, the daughter of Frank and Rose Bono. She was married to John Botsko at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on June 1, 1946. Anne was a homemaker and a member of Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Mark's Arch Con Fraternity, Daughters of Isabella, the Harvest House, A.A.R.P. – Local 2259, American Legion Post # 207 Auxiliary, and the Northwest Indiana Retirees Club # 454. Anne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to all.

Anne is survived by her loving family; daughters Patricia (Howard) Spicer, St. John, and Peggy Piunti, Merrillville, sons John (Marla) Botsko, Naples, FL, and Thomas (Terri) Botsko, Hilliard, OH, grandchildren; Brian Piunti, Paul Piunti, Allison (Chris) Stewart, Kevin Spicer, Nicholas Botsko, Alex Botsko and Reid Botsko, great-grandchildren Zachary and Audrey Stewart, brothers Jim Bono, Crown Point, and Al (Cooky) Bono, Las Vegas, sisters-in-law Joann Bono of Hebron and Doris Bono of FL, brother-in-law Dominic Bernardi of Gary and other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband John Botsko, son-in-law Arthur Piunti, Jr., her brothers Frank Romano, Joe Bono, Don Bono, and John Bono, and her sisters Mary Kaiser, Flo Turlay, Margaret Namovich, and Virginia Bernardi.

A visitation for Anne Botsko will be held from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with a prayer service at 3:00 p.m.. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 26, 2011 directly at Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church, 3530 Illinois Street, New Chicago, with Father Jon J.
