Anne Susan Oldaker, age 95, of Lake Station passed away Sunday July 26, 2015 at Miller's Merry Manor in Hobart. Anne was born November 6, 1919 in Ellsworth, PA to the late John Andrew and Sophia Ann (Kozak) Kozak. She retired in 1980 as the head cook at Andrean High School and worked previously at Goldblatts Department Store. Anne was a graduate of Emerson High, member of St. Francis-Xavier Catholic Church, the Ladies Sodality and loved to crochet and embroider. Most of all Anne loved having her family all together for the Holidays.
Anne is survived by her two sons Dennis (Gayanell) Oldaker of Valencia, PA and Paul (Donna) Oldaker of Hobart; five grandchildren Heidi, John, David, Jeff and Colleen; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband Paul; daughters Patricia Sutherland and Mary Alice Oldaker-Guerra; three brothers John, Joseph and Andrew; and five sisters Mary, Agnes, Betty, Sophia, Marge and Katherine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Friday July, 31, 2015 with 9:45 am prayers at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, IN 46368 and proceed to St. Francis- Xavier Catholic Church 2447 Putnam Street, Lake Station at 10:30 am. Rev. David W. Kime will celebrate. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 pm with a 6 pm Rosary at the funeral home.
