Anna Mae "Anne" Springman (nee Feryo), age 95, of Hobart, IN and formerly of Gary, IN passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

Anne was born on August 9, 1927 in Gary, IN to the late Michael and Anna (nee Lobo) Feryo. She grew up across the street from Froebel High School in Gary, where she graduated from in 1946. Anne married the love of her life, John Springman, Jr. on November 4, 1951 and spent 71 wonderful years together. She was a homemaker and loving mother. Her life was her children and her grandchildren. One of Anne's favorite things was to spend time with her sisters. Anne was also a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Hobart, IN.

Anne greatly enjoyed swimming in her pool and taking walks. She loved to walk with her grandchildren up to Dairy Queen for a sweet treat and to the Dam on Lake George. Anne also loved to visit casinos and play the slot machines and took several trips out to Las Vegas. She surprised all by becoming a big fan of watching golf on television. Anne will be remembered as a beloved wife, devoted mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother, dear sister, aunt, cousin, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Anne is survived by her husband: John; sons: John A. (Kathryn) Springman and Gene (Kim) Springman; grandchildren: Jodi (Tony) McMaster, John R. (Charity) Springman, Brandy (Jim) LaRocco, and Clint (Crystal) Thomas; great-grandchildren: Jerrod McMaster, Ryan and Morgan Ellenberger, Rebecca Keen, Elliot, Addison, and Greyson LaRocco, and Caleb Thomas; sister: Helen Urban; and many nieces and nephews.

Anne is preceded in death by her parents: Michael and Anna; granddaughter: Jennifer Ellenberger; and siblings: Michael Feryo, Mary Miller, Madeline Petri, Joseph Feryo and Pauline Anthony.

Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart) on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. directly from Rees Hobart Chapel with Rev. Conjelko officiating. At Rest, Calumet Park Cemetery.
