Annie B. Nobles (nee Russell), age 83 of Gary, IN. departed this life on Thursday, December 29, 2016. Annie was born on April 21, 1933 in Union Springs, Alabama to the late Deacon James Edward and Sallie Lucille (nee Cobb) Russell. Annie accepted Christ in August, 1945.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers, James, George , Thomas, Pollard Curtis, Joe Lewis, Emanuel and Ernest Russell; four sisters, Dorothy Penn, Carolyn Lockett, Geraldean Grimes and Essie Nell Russell
She is survived by her children; daughter, Joan (Benjamin III) Jones of Hobart; son, Marcus (Kim) Nobles of Portage; five grandchildren, Donte, Monika, Marcus Jr. Nobles, Benjamin IV and Madison Jones; three sisters, Shirley (George) Taylor of Alabama, Eleanor Mathis of Georgia and Clemmi Jean (Jesse) Pleas of Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family and dear friends.

A visitation for Annie will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2016 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 719 West 25th Ave. Gary, IN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday January 7, 2016 Mt. Zion Baptist, Union Springs, Alabama. Burial will take place at Mount Zion Baptist in Union Springs, Alabama.
