Anthony Michael Montemayor

Anthony Michael Montemayor, age 42, a longtime resident of Hobart, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2011. He was born on February 2, 1969 in Merrillville the son of Enrique and Mary Ann Montemayor. Anthony was employed as a carpenter and a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 1005. Anthony was married to Nicole Bukur on February 4, 1995 in Hobart. Anthony was also a member of Saint Bridget's Catholic Church. Anthony enjoyed camping, fishing, softball, Ping-Pong, four wheeling, playing basketball and going to the beach with his family.

Anthony is survived by his loving family; wife Nicole Montemayor, Hobart, daughters Melissa Renee Montemayor, Hobart, and Melanie Lynn Montemayor, Hobart, mother Mary Ann Montemayor, Hobart, father Enrique Montemayor, Hobart, sister Tracey (Michael) Hadt, Schererville, brother Enrique (Amanda Metz) Montemayor III, Hobart, grandmother Henriette Aguia, Portage, grandmother Estella Montemayor, uncle Richard Aquia, aunt Esther Lavelle, aunt Theresa Velasco, aunt Lucy, aunt Dominga and numerous nieces and nephews, and other loving family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father Mariano Mandujano, grandfathers; Johnny Equia and Enrique Montemayor Sr.

A visitation for Anthony Montemayor will be held from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Morning prayers will be offered at 9:30 am on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10:00 am at Saint Bridget's Catholic Church, 568 East 2nd Street, Hobart, with Father Dominic Bertino.
