Antonia M. Delgado

Antonia M. Delgado, age 94, of Valparaiso passed away Saturday November 26, 2022, in her home. She was born October 22, 1928, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico to the late Juan and Juana Mercado. Antonia's first love was her God and her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a Homemaker, mother, grandmother, and wife. She loved and cared for her family throughout her life. She loved traveling and reading her Bible. Antonia was the True Matriarch of the Delgado Family.

She is survived by her children, Anna Calo of Valparaiso, James (Melody) Delgado of Valparaiso, David Delgado of Chicago, IL, Martin Delgado, Jr. of Valparaiso, and Moises (Nancy) Delgado of Middleburg, FL; many, many, grandchildren; great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Martin; and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation for Antonia will be Monday December 5, 2022, from 2-8 pm at the Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN 46342. There will be a 7:00 pm Prayer Service Monday at the funeral home. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Orlando Toledo officiating. Burial will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.
