Dr. Araceli Ternida Acosta

Dr. Araceli Ternida Acosta, age 81, a longtime Hobart resident, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at her home. She was born on April 18, 1937 to the late Domingo Aquino and Atanacia (nee Padilla) Ternida in Penaranda, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Dr. Acosta was retired from Broadway Methodist where she worked as an Anesthesiologist. On November 13, 1965 she married the love of her life Constancio Acosta in Detroit, Michigan. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, and traveling and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.

Dr. Acosta is survived by her husband of 52 yrs. Constancio Acosta; three sons, Steven J., Stanley P. and David A. Acosta; daughter, M. Cristy Acosta; two brothers, Armando and Rodolfo Ternida; three sisters, Dr. Amanda T. Cruz., Maria Aurora Smith and Teresita Legaspi and other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 directly at St. Bridget Church, 107 Main Street, Hobart, Indiana. Cremation will follow.
