Arthur R. Chinery
Merrillville, Indiana
age 91, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 10, 1923 to the late Richard G. and Helen R. (nee Kelly) Chinery in Brantford Ontario, Canada. Arthur was a friend to everyone who ever met him, friend of Bill's and was active for 44years in fellowship, a devoted lifelong Catholic, and he was in the Royal Canadian Navy on the Corvette, Orangeville, during WWII. Arthur retired from Superior Engineering in 1988. Arthur loved his family and friends, liked to travel, enjoyed working on his computer and connecting with friends from all over the world. He lived life one day at a time for 91 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Margaret (nee O'Rourke) Chinery of Merrillville, Indiana; daughter M. Deborah Coble of Winamac, Indiana; brother, David (Florence) Chinery of Oakville Ontario, Canada; five grandchildren, Kellie (Brian) Ritchie, Michael Coble, Richard(Stephanie) Coble, Robert Coble and Elaine (Derrick) Bacewic; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley and Tyler Ritchie, Zoey, Zane, and Zelda Coble , Dalton and Wyatt Bacewic ,many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews .
Arthur was preceded in death by his daughter, Anne Marie Chinery, his parents; brother, Gerard Chinery; two sisters, Agnes Cosgrove, Canada and Bernice Groves-Tottenham.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 13, 2014, beginning with 9:30 prayers at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel and 10 am Mass at St Bridget Church, 568 East Second St. Hobart, Indiana 46342, with Rev Dominic V.
