Audrey Leone Daunora

Audrey Leone Daunora, age 92, recently of Valparaiso and a long time resident of the Black Oak section of Gary, went home to her Father in Heaven on Sunday, October 2, 2011. She was born on October 27, 1918 in Marseilles, Illinois the daughter of Frederick and Grace McQuiston. Audrey was married to Morris Aplin and then married to Steve Daunora, both of whom preceded her in death. Audrey worked for many years as a waitress for the Red Rooster Restaurant. Audrey was a member of the Eastern Star and the Royal Neighbors. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Her greatest joy was being with family and having fun with her grandchildren.

Audrey is survived by her loving family; daughter Muriel Carlton, Valparaiso, sons Frederick (Marietta) Aplin, Fremont, Douglas (Caryl) Aplin, Columbia City, and Morris (Lori) Aplin, Jr., Terre Haute, grandchildren Melody (Marck) Wilcox, Brenda (Rick) Cirrincione, Crystal Carlton, Candice Aplin, Valarie (Tony) Brady, Kimberly (Josh) Parsell, Matthew (Christi) Aplin, and Lisa (Jes) Krause, great-grandchildren Trisha (Josh), Michelle, Meghan, Dustin, Micah, Spencer, Jaycob, Lyric, Zarchary, Jordan, Mary Elizabeth, Molly, Madelyn, and Lily and great-great grandchildren Taylor, Drystan, Austin, and Lexie, and other loving family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Morris Aplin, her husband Steve Daunora, her granddaughter Sandy Vottero, her granddaughter Deborah Carlton, her great grandson Kenneth Parsell, and her brother Raymond McQuiston.
