August P. Gessler, age 18 of Hobart passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 28, 2023, at his home. He was born on August 23, 2005, in Crown Point to Adam Gessler and Rebecca Marie Moser. August loved music and was a talented guitarist. He also loved art. August is at peace now.

He is survived by his parents, Adam Gessler and Rebecca Moser; brother, Nolan Moser; twin siblings, Adam and Eve Moser- Montez; paternal grandmother, Dawn Vanzo-Gessler; maternal grandparents, Geoff (Alicia) Lininger; uncles, Ryan Gessler, Cary (Georgia) Gessler; aunts, Amanda (Tim) Lininger-Bartko, Leslie (Jim) Duniphan, Beth Gessler; and cousins, Ian Boyle, Zoe Duniphan.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Gessler.

Visitation for August will be held Friday, September 1, 2023, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
