Augustin J. Carreon

Augustin J. Carreon, age 30, of Porter passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019. He was born May 5, 1988 in Merrillville, Indiana to Eulalia and Agustin Carreon. Auggie, as his close friends and family called him, loved life in every way. He was a horseback rider and loved taking part in his Mexican heritage traditions. He loved to go to concerts and dance and sing to his favorite bands. He also tried new things in life trying to live it to the fullest. He was selfless, generous and loving to all of his family and those he knew. Auggie was the hardest working man, devoted and took pride in everything he did.

He is survived by his mother, Eulalia Carreon; father, Agustin Carreon; brothers, Carlos (Kristi) Carreon, Jose Fernando Flores; nephew and godson, Carlos Carreon, Jr.; niece, Luciana Carreon; aunts and uncles, Noemi (Miguel) Canelo, Carolina (Jose Antonio) Rojas, Maria Cruz (Audelio) Arteaga, Dr. Laura (Thomas) Rosillo, Jose Rosillo, Jr., Alejandro Rosillo, Sandra (Edgar) Lule, Gabriela (Marco) Soriano, Maria (Mario) Del Rosario Carreon, Olga Maria de Lourdes Carreon, Hermelinda Carreon, Graciela Carreon, Esther Carreon, Salvador (Liz) Carreon; many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carlota and Jose Rosillo; paternal grandparents, Maria Guadalupe and Jose Guadalupe-Carreon; uncle and godfather, Miguel Canelo; cousin, baby Daniel.

Visitation for Auggie will be held Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph St, Crown Point/ Winfield, IN 46307. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, March 11, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 W. Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso, IN 46384.
