Avalon Carden ( nee Charnack), age 74, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015. She was born on June 3, 1941 in Monongahela PA to the late John and Blanche (nee Dicenzo) Charnack. Avalon will always be remembered as a loving, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to those who knew her. She was a retired Lab Technician who worked for numerous local Hospitals.
She is survived by her son, Danny J. Collins; grandchildren, Erika Boston, Jessika Cantu and Elizabeth Cantu ;two sisters, Deanna (Stefan) Bewszka and Linda (Herb Pelzer) Hopton; two brothers, John (Diana) Charnack and Robert Charnack; She was preceded in death by her husband Luther; daughter, Bonnie Cantu; her parents; two sisters Lucille Croyts and Jessie Piper.
A funeral service for Avalon will take place Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342 with Pastor Jason Kegebein officiating. She will be laid to rest at Hebron Cemetery in Hebron. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
