Obituary
Barbara Lou Cowles, age 82 of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away Monday, September 26, 2011. She was born on August 20, 1929 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Claire and Frances Rouse. She was a former Portage resident and a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Karen Cowles of Sudbury, MA; 1 brother, Richard (Marie) Rouse of Otsego, MI; 1 sister, Rachel (Burt) Smith of Kalamazoo, MI; 2 grandchildren, Lyndsay (Chris) Spear, Christopher Lewis, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Cowles, 1 son, Kevin Cowles, and 1 brother, Faye (Delores) Rouse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday October 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Arrangements completed by Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel. Call 762-3013 or online at www.Reesfuneralhomes.com.
