Barbara M. (Bohling) Hawkins, age 80, of Miller, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017. She was born on October 23, 1936 in Gary, Indiana to Ed and Zola Bohling. On October 23, 1953 in Gary, Indiana, she married her husband, Joseph Hawkins. Barbara was a member of 29th Avenue Baptist Church. In her free-time, she enjoyed flower gardening. Barbara will always be remembered as a dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend to those who love her.

She is survived by her son, David Hawkins; daughters, Jo (Juan) Gutierrez, Nora (Horace) Hawkins-Rios; daughter-in-law, Billie Jo Hawkins; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brothers, Edward Bohling, Russell Bohling; sister, Carol (George) Pester; several loving nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hawkins; son, Jack Hawkins; and one grandson, William Hawkins.
