Barbara June Leone (nee Bruegman), age 76 of Lake Station and formerly of Thornton, Illinois passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 at her home. She was born on June 10, 1946. Barb graduated from Thornridge High School in Dolton, Illinois. She was a dedicated member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Thornton. She will always be remembered as a very caring and gentle person.

She is survived by her son, Robert Claus; and many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Lillian Bruegman; and one brother, Glenn Bruegman.

A memorial service for Barb will take place at a later date at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Thornton, IL. Cremation was entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station.
