Barbara Mabe (nee Wiggins), age 74 of Portage passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013. She was born on July 24, 1939 in Cedar Grove Kentucky to the late Thelbert and Ida Lorraine Wiggins. She was a longtime Portage resident and attended Real Life Community Church. She was retired from the accounting department at Kmart in Miller. She was also a member of the Q2 Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Her family was her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Edgar 'Ed" Mabe of Portage, IN; 1 son, Greg (Jill) Roy of Portage, IN; 3 daughters, Detrah (Ben) Gutierrez (Lehocky) of Portage, IN; Theresa (Roger) Cool of Brook, IN; Lisa (Johnny) Santana of Michigan City, IN; 1 brother, Harold "Bud" Wiggins of Portage, IN; 1 sister, Debra Coleman of Princeton, KY; special sister-in-law, Wanda Sellers-Deb of Parker, CO; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Bob Burton officiating. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage. Visitation is Friday, October 25, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, Portage.
