Barbara Jane Miller, age 59 of Hobart passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011. She was born on March 18, 1952 in Bloomington, Indiana.
She is survived by her husband of over 38 years, Douglas D. Miller of Hobart, IN; 1 son, Richard L. Shaffer Jr. of Hobart, IN; 2 daughters, Wendi N. (Ed) Hurni of Westville, IN; Dawn M. (Daniel) Keen of Hobart, IN; 1 brother, Warren "Sonny" McCauley of Fort Wayne, IN; 2 sisters, Paula (Virgil) Lewis of Valparaiso, IN; Margeruite (John) Collins of Bloomington, IN; 8 grandchildren, Natashia S. Shaffer, Kyle T. Hurni, Christian E. Hurni, Makyma C. Webb, Hunter L. Shaffer, Meya K. Thrasher, Korren L. Hurni, Caden J. Thrasher, and 1 great-grandchild, Landon M. Klein
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Martha Hall.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Barbara's honor may be made to the family.
Funeral services are Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Jerry Martin officiating. Cremation will follow with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation service. Visitation is Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
