Obituary
Barbara S. Pennington, age 75, of Portage and formerly of Cincinnati, OH passed away Monday April 17, 2017 at the Regency Hospital in Portage. Barbara was born August 3, 1941 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Luray and Mary (James) Smith. She was a retired LPN that worked around the Cincinnati area. Barbara enjoyed crafting and refinishing old furniture. She loved remodeling her homes.
Barbara is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Loretta Foran) Bayard of Delton, MI and Paul Aaron Bayard of South Dakota; her sister, Dian Baum of Valparaiso; three grandchildren, Sarah Bayard, Laura Bayard and Ashley Rose (Ryan) Dennis; a great granddaughter, Charlie Mae Dennis; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Pennington, Sr.; her parents; one son, John Wayne Bayard; and one brother, Larry James Smith.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 am Saturday April 22, 2017 at Graceland Cemetery and Mausoleum in Valparaiso, Indiana.
