Barbara A. Ruff (Nee Harbick), age 91, of Hobart and formerly of the East Side of Chicago passed away Wednesday January 23, 2019.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.  She was also devoted to her fur babies Annie and Joe.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gertrude Harbick; her loving husband, Robert J. Ruff and her son, Kenneth J. Ruff.

She is survived by her eleven children, Cathy (Robert) Sloan, William J. Ruff, Barbara (the late Richard) Tomlinson, Edward J. (Linda) Ruff, Nancy (the late Murrell) Farmer, John J. Ruff, Robert J. Ruff, Jr., Marie (John) Rokicki, Michael J. (Renee) Ruff, Patrick J. (Sandra) Ruff and Thomas J. (Lisa) Ruff.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin with 9:30 am prayers Tuesday January 29, 2019 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana and then process to St Bridget Catholic Church, 107 Main Street Hobart, Indiana where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Benjamin Ross.  Burial will follow at 1:00 pm in St. Mary Cemetery 3614 W. 87 ^th Avenue Chicago, IL 60652. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
