BARBARA FRANCIS SCHILLER (NEE DRAKE), age 86, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, while surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Kilgore, TX on February 21, 1935 to the late Martin and Abigail Drake. Barbara was a loving mother of six children, which left little time for much else.  In more recent years, she enjoyed BINGO at Nativity of Our Savior.

She is survived by her 6 children, Vicki (Danny) Crawford, Valparaiso, Steven (Denise) Schiller, Sr. of Kouts, Michael Schiller of Norris City, IL, Roger (Donna) Schiller of Michigan City, Janine Schiller of Hobart, and Phillip (Glinda) Schiller of Portage; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Clara (the late Bill) Davenport of Springfield, TN; close friend, Liz Batz; and other loving family and friends.

Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years in 2017, Richard Lee Schiller; granddaughter, Leslie Garcia; 5 siblings, Leon (Connie) Drake, Jerry (Julia) Drake, Joyce (Charlie) Sanders, Floyd Drake, and Gailyn (Jim) Allen.

There will be a memorial visitation for Barbara on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 454, 3139 Michigan St., New Chicago, IN 46342.  Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel was entrusted with cremation arrangements.
