With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Barbara Schuler, age 71 of Valparaiso, who left this world on December 9th, 2024. She was an adoring mother, a talented florist, a homemaker, and a woman of steadfast faith.

Born on October 2, 1953 in Gary, Indiana, Barbara spent her life caring for her family and spreading kindness to all who knew her.

She was passionate about music, often sharing her talent through singing in a church choir, which brought her great happiness. Barbara also spent time at the Maria Reiner Senior Center, where she enjoyed connecting with others through various activities. Barbara had a special love for animals, especially her beloved cats and "grand puppies," who held a treasured place in her heart.

Barbara leaves behind her loving children, Ashlee (Tyler) Duffin and Eric (Chloe) Schuler, both of WA, her brother, Frank Kustron of Indianapolis, and her niece and nephews (Joe, Matt, Katie, and Sam).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Kustron, her sister, Cheryl Kustron, and her husband Dennis Schuler.

Rest in peace, Mom. While your time with us was far too short, your love and warmth will live on in us always.
