Barbara M. Vaughn (Nee Audo), age 89, of Cedar Hill, Texas, formerly of Portage and Hobart, passed away Friday January 19, 2018.  Barbara was born on October 31, 1928 in Gary, Indiana to the late August A. and Albina (Perino) Audo.  She graduated from Lew Wallace High School in 1947.  She was a devoted and loving daughter, mother, grandmother and wife.  Barbara enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading and working crossword puzzles. She was a very active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and recently attended Barrington Ridge Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and served as treasurer for many years.

Barbara is survived by her six children, Joyce (Leonard) Russell of Wheeler, IN, Ronald (Donna) Vaughn of Spring Hill, FL, Patricia (Michael) O'Halloran Deeds of Cedar Hill, TX, Colleen O'Halloran Meyers of Benicia, CA, Peggy (David) O'Halloran Smith of Hendersonville, NC, Janice (Don) Vaughn Craft of Porter, IN,; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; her brother, James (Crystal) Audo of Deerfield, IL; her sister-in-law Dolly (Don) Hewlett of Valparaiso, IN and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bryce.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday January 27, 2018 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342, with Pastor Leonard Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
