Beatrice Selby, age 69, of Portage passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. She was born August 20,1942 in Gary, Indiana the daughter of Ambrose and Mary Franz. Beatrice was married to Thomas Selby Jr. on May 30,1964 in Washington D.C. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
Beatrice is survived by her loving family; daughters; Deborah Byerman, Chesterton, IN and Kimberly (Art) Stueber, Porter, IN, sons; Thomas (Susan) Selby III, Hobart, IN, and Mark Selby of Portage, IN; 5 grandchildren AJ (Brittney Wiesemann) Stueber, Tawny Byerman, Megan Selby, Nicole Selby and Aleksi Selby, 3 great grandchildren; Emieligh, Mason and Brayden Stueber, 2 sisters; Sharon (Jim) Bellamy of Crown Point, Verna Spencer of Portage, brother, Mike (Roberta) Franz of Portage.
Her husband and her parents precede her in death.
To honor Beatrice's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services held.
Burial will be Private.
