Benjamin Edward Hasza

Benjamin Edward Hasza, age 62, of Hobart passed away Sunday March 13, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Ben was born July 11, 1953, in Gary to the late Ben and Lenore (Stanik) Hasza. Ben was retired from the city of Hobart. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his grandchildren.

Ben is survived by his loving wife Laura; children, Richard (Heather) Hasza, Ryan Hasza, Kristine (Joel) Marquart and Michael (Ashley Passon) Hasza; four grandchildren, Madison, Abigail, Jacksyn and Avery; brothers, David Hasza and Dennis (Debra) Hasza; sisters Lynn (Terry Schaffner) Heintz, Patricia (Richard) Schreyer and Robin (Steve) Toneff; his loving aunts and uncles; his mother-in-law Joan Easton; and other loving family and in-laws.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 pm Saturday March 19, 2016 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana with Rev. Gary S. Nagy officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are preferred to Ben's family.
