Bennett C. Young

Bennett C. Young, age 82 of Crown Point, IN, passed away August 23, 2013. He was born on April 8, 1931 in Pikeville, Kentucky the son of Lay Thomas and Ressie (Nee Bevins) Young. Bennett retired in February 1983 from Lever Bros in Hammond, Indiana where he worked as an Oil Processor. Bennett was a member of Chicagoland Christian Church and enjoyed spending time volunteering and working in the gift shop, he also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

Bennett is survived by his wife, Lillian (Nee LaSota) Young of Crown Point, IN; two sons, Greg Young of Griffith, IN and Steven Young of Crown Point, IN, two daughters; Karen (Don) Czerwinski of Valparaiso, IN and Jill (Walter) Woldt of Crown Point, IN., 4 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, two brothers; Dean (Brenda) Young of Munster, IN and J.C. (Audrey Mae) Young of Winchester, KY, and many other loving family members and friends.
Bennett is preceded in death by his parents and son, David Young.
A funeral service for Bennett will be Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph St., Winfield/Crown Point, 46307, with Chaplain Frank Klobucar officiating.
